Getting Started

Using Quotile

Quotile has 6 sequencers which are slaved to the master BPM settings. By default, the sequencers output MIDI note information to an external MIDI device. For more information about configuring Quotile for MIDI, see the setup instructions.

Rows of a sequencer are numbered 1 through 16 from top to bottom. Columns are numbered 1 to 32 from left to right.

When Quotile starts, p1 through p5 do not automatically begin playing back notes. You can start or stop playback of a sequencer using the play or stop commands.

For example:

play p6

..and..

stop p6

It is usually helpful to keep a few of the playback sequencers stopped so that they can be used for manipulating patterns without being sent to your midi output device.
